Biography / Biografia
Ever since I was very young I felt an inclination for drawing and painting. In my early years I attended art classes at the Buenos Aires' Boca University in my native Argentina.
Since moving to Toronto, Canada in the 1970's I have taken art classes under the tutelage of Mr. Porko at George Vannier Secondary School as well classes at the Ontario College of Art and Central Technical School. In 1997 I joined the Northview Group of Artists under the teaching of sculptor and painter , Profesor Alexandra Sharma . Currently I am a member of the Northview Group of Artists and a member of Scarborough Arts Council
Although most of my work is comprised of oil paintings there are some watercolours as well . I have also created fabric-art commemoratives pieces for anniversaries and other special occasions . Some examples are fabric-simulating staines glass artwork, and quilts/wall hangins with photographs of family and friends. My art work resides not only locally but as far away as Texas, Oregon , and various provinces in Agentina
Desde pequeña senti inclinación por dibujar y pintar. De adolescente, tome cursos de dibujo y pintura , en la Universidad de la Boca , Buenos Aires , Argentina , el cual es mi pais de origen.
Al emigrar a Canada tome el curso de un ano, bajo la enseñanza del Profesor Mr. Porko , en la escuela George Vanier .Luego tome cursos en el Ontario College of Art, como asi también en la Central Technical School , para luego pasar ,en 1997 a integrar el Northview Group of Artist, bajo la ensenanza de la Escultora y pintora , Profesora Alexandra Shama.
Algunos de mis trabajos han viajado a: Texas , Oregon , y varios a Argentina a diversas provincias.
Mis trabajos incluyen mayormente pinturas al óleo, algunas acuarelas y trabajos recordatorios ( Aniversarios, Ocaciones especiales ) , hechos en tela simulando Stain - Glass, como asi tambien especiales quilts conmemorativos (con fotos de familia o personas relacionadas al evento ).
