MARTA ALVAREZ, Was born in Chile and is living in Toronto since 1972. She worked in a Bank for 15 years and 14 years as Spanish Interpreter for Health Providers. A loving husband, three wonderful children and eight adored grandchildren are her pride and joy.
Her love for drawing and painting started in childhood, only in the year 2000, Marta was able to start painting again.
She is self-didactic, had been painting with the best artists in Ontario and have had portraits commissioned from Spain, USA. Chile and Ontario.
Marta is the recipient of the Toronto Watercolour Society
“Juror’s Choice - Gold -Award” in 2008 and People’s choice Award.
Marta Alvarez nacio en Chile. Vino a Canada 1973. Su amor por el dibujo y la pintura empezo en su niñez. En el año 2000 jubila para dedicarse de lleno a su pasion: la Acuarela, participando en numerosos talleres con los artistas mas famosos de Ontario. Desde Chile, España, Canada y USA le han mandado hacer retratos.
